Selv om Apeks DSX naturligvis også kan brukes av sportsdykkere, er det teknisk dykking som er i førersetet. Computeren kan håndtere seks forskjellige gasser (også med trådløs sender), og har sidemount- og CCR-modus.

En fiffig funksjon er innebygd GPS som lar deg sette waypoints i overflaten og hjelper deg til å navigere tilbake til utgangspunktet.

Computeren lades via induksjon (ladematte medfølger), men kan også lades på tradisjonell måte med en kabel.

Computeren leveres med en oksygenanalysator slik at du har ful kontroll på pustegassen. Denne kommer dog uten oksygencelle – en R22 celle må kjøpes separat.

Wireless Bluetooth Smart connectivity lets you wirelessly sync your dive data with the DiverLog+ app on your mobile device (available for iOS and Android). With your DiverLog+ app, you can remotely control all your dive computer settings, view dive log and profle data, add locations, notes and other details from your adventures. After your dive, share your memories, stats, photos, and dive site locations on social media.

Electronic dive log signature function allows buddies and instructors to electronically sign your dive log.
